Light theme arrives; suggestion cards ask "was this useful?"; new sub-agent panel

Appearance: light theme arrives

  • Settings → General gains "Appearance": Light, Dark Cyan (default) and Dark Violet, with color swatches. Switching applies instantly and every window and floating overlay follows.
  • The memory graph, charts and code blocks adapt to light/dark automatically — no more big grey blocks in light mode.

Suggestion cards ask "was this useful?"

  • Proactive suggestion cards are now a one-question survey: Not useful / Useful / Useful — do it. "Useful" just records your answer without running anything — for when you'd rather do it yourself; only "Useful — do it" hands it to the AI.
  • The × in the corner just closes the card and doesn't count as an answer. During this beta, your answers are only used to measure how often suggestions are on target. (Full attribution requires the latest device update)

New "Sub-agents" panel in the right rail

  • When the AI splits a task across several sub-agents, the right rail lists each one with live output, tool calls and status; a badge on the switcher shows how many are still running.

Completion and the recognition frame feel snappier

  • Inline completions now stream in word by word instead of popping in as a whole sentence; start typing and the request is cancelled immediately, so no credit is wasted.
  • The recognition frame (green box) has a gentle breathing effect by default, stays as long as the target is recognized, and tucks away when a dialog or new window takes focus instead of sitting on top of it.
  • Draft cards are offered once: a draft you saw and ignored won't pop up again when you switch back to the chat window, and cards you keep ignoring interrupt less and less.

Chat and tasks

  • Goal card: when the AI sets a goal for a task, a goal card appears and changes color in place when completed or blocked; if the AI stops early and is nudged to continue, a short note explains why.
  • Safety refusals are shown clearly, and thinking has an animated indicator.
  • "Edit" and "time" actions on your own messages moved into a capsule below the bubble, so they no longer vanish when the mouse crosses the gap.
  • Settings → Model supports Opus Thinking levels.

Windows

  • The watched-apps picker no longer shows a single app — installed and Store apps are all selectable.
  • Fixed automated typing not taking effect.

Other improvements

  • Update downloads show size, speed and estimated time remaining.
  • Fixed the release-notes dialog not showing its title and date.
  • No more blank "Notification" popup flashing in the corner when switching apps or during learning.
  • Switching the reminder mode (hint / insert) now takes effect immediately.
  • File suggestions no longer include build artifacts, hidden folders, or the very file you're looking at.
  • More of the interface is localized; English systems default to English.

Previously, in 0.7.19

  • Reconnects are fully visible during network hiccups (cause, countdown, attempt count), with automatic retries raised to 10.
  • Settings → Device shows which screen the device is mirroring, with one-click locate.
  • Public Wi-Fi web sign-in arrived; device background features pause while your computer is away.
